BANDAI's Gundam Model Division has announced the release of a brand new MG series RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 3.0. Since BANDAI launched the Gundam model with articulation technology in 1995, it has been striving to combine "mechanical feel" with the "realism" of Gundam, and thus launched the first MG series "RX-78-2 Gundam".

Subsequently, the "RX-78-2 Gundam" continued to evolve with Ver.1.5, Ver.Ka, Ver.ONE YEAR WAR 0079, and Ver.2.0, incorporating cutting-edge technologies. The MG "ν Gundam Ver.Ka," released last December, showcased new possibilities by introducing a new sliding rail technology to precisely segment the armor. This signifies that the MG series has finally reached a new stage required for a new version of the "RX-78-2 Gundam."

In 2013, MG will move towards a brand new future. The latest version of Gundam design will showcase "new articulation" and unimaginable realism. The RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 3.0 will be officially launched! It will be equipped with the "Movable Armor System", which surpasses the basic articulation of Ver. 2.0. The armor of the same system will move in conjunction with the internal structure, showing a more realistic articulation.
